A growing and dynamic deposit bond company is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join their team.

The position available offers a diverse range of work and is an opportunity for someone seeking a challenging and interesting role within a supportive and growing team.

Your primary role is to be exceptional at customer service and make your clients feel like they are number one! You will help clients secure their new property purchase with a deposit bond.

You need to have a positive 'can do' attitude, be proactive, strong attention to detail, with excellent communication skills.

You are predominantly a 'farmer' and take great pride and satisfaction with helping others.

All training will be provided to the right candidate!

Full-Time (Monday to Friday)

Location: Preston VIC

Compensation:

Salary will be negotiated (depending on experience, skill and performance)

  • Underwrite new business and provide quotes in a timely and professional manner in line with agreed service standards
  • Underwrite all new business accurately and in line with agreed compliance standards provided by our deposit bond underwriter QBE Australia Ltd.
  • Conduct phone interviews with prospective clients to ascertain whether product is suitable for their needs as well as collect all necessary information to process their deposit bond application.
  • First point of contact for all phone enquiries to the business line.
  • Lodge and process payments for deposit bond applications on behalf of clients (direct and referrals)
  • Make recommendation and actively participate in initiating process improvements to help improve, optimise our quality and services standards.
  • Proactively promote and support the team along with our products and services and company image to our referral partners.
  • Establish and develop good working relationships with all our referral partners for the purpose of developing, then monitoring compliant and profitable repeat business.
  • Research and collect information online for lead generation purposes
  • Participate in regular team meeting as well as client meetings

Key Selection Criteria : (You must briefly address these key selection criteria in your covering letter)

  • You must be a team player – proven experience working in a team. Collaboration is in your nature
  • Customer Service experience - 1+ year experience in a customer service role (outbound more desirable)
  • Oral and written communication – is just about perfect!
  • Process driven - You must be process driven and analytical in your thinking
  • You must be resourceful - Self-driven and have the ability to use initiative to help grow the business and solve problems
  • Insurance or Finance experience - is a bonus
  • Strong attention to detail - You have been called an 'eagle-eye' before! Attention to detail is your strength.
