Our client is a global leader in resource recovery, recycling and waste management, turning waste into valuable resources to help protect our environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Officer wanting an ongoing full-time job in the South Eastern Suburbs.

The Position

Working within a team of 11 Customer Service Officers, you will be responsible for answering high volume calls from existing customers within the building trade. Your professional phone manner and ability to build relationships, liaising with site supervisors, members of council and drivers is paramount in this role. Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

• Inbound and outbound calls
• Creating/Obtaining PO’s from Builders
• Follow up on client enquiries
• Organising the delivery and drop off of bins to site
• Follow up on any account or invoice related enquiries
• Organising permits via Council

You

To be successful in the role you would have previously worked within the construction/building industry, particular new home builders. In addition you will possess the following:

• Able to seamlessly multitask i.e. perform accurate data entry whilst engaged on the phone with the customer
• Experienced in dealing with high volume calls that require sound problem solving skills and initiative
• Familiar with using a CRM
• Strong dispute resolution techniques
• Empathetic and resilient
• Thorough with a good attention to detail
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Waste industry knowledge would be advantageous although is not essential

This is an immediate start and an ongoing full-time position. The hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. A key pre-requisite to securing this opportunity is to attend a drug and alcohol screening successfully.
