About the role

Reporting to and working closely with the GM Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships and as part of a dynamic small team, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Sponsor engagement - Building relationships with existing sponsors
  • Developing and selling specific sponsorship and partnership packages across the range of AusIMM offerings and maintaining and growing a sponsor database
  • Development and activation of a sponsorship procurement strategy with growth targets to build a sustainable sponsorship portfolio
  • Procuring new sponsors and maintaining an active sales pipeline, responding to enquiries from prospective sponsors and partners and drafting proposals for clients
  • Booth sales and budget for AusIMM conferences
  • Managing post conference sponsor reports
  • Looking for ways to continuously improve the service offering and keeping abreast of market trends

Some travel and out of hours work will be involved.

About you

A driven, highly self-motivated and highly organised sales professional with solid experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders and the demonstrated ability to influence purchasing behaviour, you also display:

  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues clearly
  • Maturity in dealing with departmental managers and staff
  • A team orientation – reliable and accountable
  • Attention to detail and due diligence in your approach to work
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and suitability for a collaborative, supportive and friendly work culture
  • Commitment to professional development and personal growth

Tertiary qualifications in Business/Management/Marketing are preferred and prior experience in a relationship manager role within the mining sector would be highly regarded but is not essential.
