| Busy Food store and Deli looking for a dedicated cook/kitchen hand to help prepare salads, pre-cut fruit and vegetables and take home meals. Toscanos is one of Melbourne's fresh-food institutions. A very popular, family-owned green grocer and deli that has been open in Kew for almost 70 years. We are expanding our offering with house-made take-home meals, salads and pre-cut fruit and vegetables. We are looking for someone in a full-time position to help out in the preparation, cooking and packaging of our meals. We have the ideas and recipes, we just need someone who can bring them to life. The position will be Mon - Fri, during regular business hours. If you are sick of working long, hospo-industy nights, but still love working around a kitchen, this might just be the perfect job for you! You must be: Hard working and be able to work well, both under instruction, and autonomously Organized and efficient in your use of time Able to work in a time-pressured environment Most importantly, you must must must have great Knife skills, and be able to prepare vegetables in your sleep If this sounds like you, then we'd love to meet you.
