Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

About the Role

The Cleaning Supervisor - Housekeeping Services provides leadership to and is accountable for the Support Services function at Monash Health. The Supervisor has responsibility for the day-to-day operational and professional management of Support Services areas including: Cleaning and Food Safety standards, Waste Management, Documentation and Team Development

You will be an integral leader in our team and provide a high standard of patient centred care and have attention to detail on our service delivery and operational standards.

This role is fast paced, requires critical thinking the ability to make decisions, problem solve and delegate in a timely manner.

About you

What you need

• Minimum Health Services Assistant Certificate III
• Proven Supervisor experience (cleaning industry is desirable)
• Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work weekends as required
• Current working with Children’s Check
• Good communication skills, and able to write reports, send emails, take notes using clear and concise language.
• Support and promote a cohesive team that is accountable to achieve Best Practice Standards across Support Services
• Ability to build relationship and respond to stakeholders underlying needs manages change.
  Have an attention to detail to oversee work tasks by taking the responsibility for corrective action promptly and providing feedback to team and stakeholders.
