At The Last Piece, we are an established café at Waverley Park, Mulgrave which offer a modern all-day breakfast and casual European dinner menu. With a strong focus on fresh produce, exceptional customer experience, and seasonal & innovative dishes our goal is to reinvent the suburban dining scene.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef to bring your passion, hard work and understanding of the Melbourne dining scene to support and lead our kitchen team. Working alongside the head chef, you will be encouraged to create a fun, passionate and hardworking environment to deliver outstanding food.

Your creativity and hard work will be recognised and rewarded with career advancement opportunities in our ever-evolving company. We continue to expand with recent openings including Matcha Mylkbar in St.Kilda and Mark & Vinny's in Surry Hills, NSW.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working in a la carte service as Sous Chef will be highly regarded
  • Ability to lead, motivate and teach with previous experience as a leader
  • Passion for experimenting and creating new dishes
  • Understanding of modern Australian breakfast services
  • Knowledge in hospitality trends
  • Familiarity with Italian cuisine is desired
