Coles Southland is looking for a Trade Qualified Cook to join their kitchen team who shares a passion for not only quality food and ingredients but also customer service. The Coles Kitchen provides a broad range of freshly prepared cold and hot take-away options such as sandwiches, pizzas, salads, curries, roasts and pasta dishes.

You'll play an important role in making the shopping experience more rewarding for our customers and the local community by:

• Conducting live cooking demonstrations in our store, along with providing advice and recommendations on products and dishes;
• Preparing recipes with new lines for customer demonstrations and tastings;
• Serving a wide range of menu items for purchase;
• Answering customer queries throughout the day; and
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen premises as required.

As well as delivering great customer service, you'll have flexibility to work across our store trading days, including evenings and weekends, and be fit enough to handle some heavy lifting when required. You will enjoy providing input on menu design and process improvements, in addition to working in a customer service and team-based environment.

The successful applicant will have a Trade Qualification such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, demonstrated experience as a chef working in a high-volume customer environment and Food Safety & Hygiene training and/or qualifications.
