The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for a Public Area Attendant to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to work with the Housekeeping Department which consists of approximately 115 colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.

This position is an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel’s ongoing success.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Cleaning of all function rooms, restaurant and front of house areas of hotel, guest toilets.

· Cleaning of all back of house areas including staff change rooms.

· Pick up function rooms between back to back functions at the direction of Shiftleaders.

· Spot clean spillage’s throughout the public areas of the hotel when required.

For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:

- The candidate will be required to work across a seven day a week rotating roster.

- There are three shifts covering a 24 hour operation.

- Candidates must be available to work across all shifts:

Morning 7.00am – 15.00pm,

Afternoon 15.00pm – 23.00pm and

Overnight shifts 23.00pm – 07.00am.

- Whilst the role is part time we are seeking a professional who can work up to 30 hours per week throughout the year not just when on school holidays.

- Experience in a similar role is an advantage

- Excellent communication skills

- Team player

- Eye for detail

- Customer Service Experience, previous role in Housekeeping or Bond Cleaning an advantage.
