We have an amazing opportunity for a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our 5-star team to assist in the daily operations of 3 outlets for the Metropol Hotel. Looking after Mr Hive kitchen and Bar, a Modern Australian a la carte restaurant along with Level 28 Skybar Lounge which serves as bar and function space, also including 24-hour Crown Metropol Room Service.

Your responsibilities include assisting the Chef de Cuisine in the day to day operation of the kitchen as well as providing leadership, support and coaching to the team involved in all areas of the kitchen. You must be resilient and flexible with a positive can-do attitude to meet the demands in this fast paced and challenging environment. You must be highly motivated and focused with excellent customer service skills and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

What you need:

· Restaurant, Room Service and Banquets experience highly desirable

· Fine Modern Australian a la carte experience in a high volume fast paced environment

· Ability to maintain high and consistent food standards at all times

· Effective leadership skills including maximising employee productivity and morale

· Solid business acumen to manage and monitor of financial budgets, food and labour costs and other associated expenses

· Must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, overnights, weekends and public holidays
