As the Head Chef you will take charge of the kitchen and food operations. This role will suit a highly motivated and experienced individual ready to take the next step in their career, and manage the food operations of the venue as though it were your own.

The primary responsibilities of this role are:

· Design and create a brand new menu

· Recruitment and training of kitchen staff

· Developing Restaurant concepts

· Checking food quality and ensuring preparation is undertaken in accordance with food safety plan and Occupational Health and Safety ('OHS') regulatory requirements

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Passion and drive for food and the Hospitality industry

· Implement safety and overall policies for the kitchen operations

· Be responsible for stock take, operating cost control and budgeting for the kitchen

· Proven menu design and implementation

· Have an up to date knowledge of current and upcoming food trends (red meats)

· Experience in opening a new venue would be a bonus

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

· Extensive experience and knowledge of cooking red meat cuisine

· Strong ability to train, manage, motivate and lead a team

· Ability to develop menus with creativity and keeping up with current food trends

· Calm demeanour and approachable

· Knowledge of food safety standards and OH&S requirements

· Good financial acumen to budget labour and COGS
