Banoi is a place where people come together to share their love of food, culture and family. Our first location opened in 2013, and since then we have grown rapidly, with 3 locations in Australia to date.

Each store is fast-paced and always bustling with its own unique character, but all share one common theme- traditional recipes injected with a little modern fun.

About the Roles:

We are looking for a Head Chef to lead and inspire a close-knit and dynamic team in the Melbourne CBD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Creating and developing a new dinner concept, menu and recipes.
• Management of labour scheduling/budget control.
• Maintaining cost structure by improving BOH operations.
• Estimate food consumption and requisition for purchasing product
• Train kitchen staff to effectively manage costs, maintain the recipe standards, and cooking/preparation procedures.
• Maximizing productivity of the staff while supporting them to improve skill sets.

We are also hiring for a Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef to lead, inspire and motivate the kitchen team.

Skills and Experience:

• MUST reside and hold valid working rights in Australia.
• Minimum 2 years of BOH experience as a Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, etc.
• Must have experience with Asian cuisine – Vietnamese cuisine will be advantageous.
• A positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
• The ability to excel under pressure with great problem-solving skills.
• Great teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for sustainability.
• Flexible availability to work across a 6-day roster.
