We are currently recruiting a professional and experienced Cook to join our brand new centre in Bayswater North. Enjoy setting up your own kitchen with all new equipment and tools.

Reporting to the Executive Centre Manager, your role as the Centre Cook will involve providing healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care. This is a fast-paced and busy role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide nutritionally balanced and appropriate meals for all children, taking into consideration their individual dietary requirements and allergies
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas as specified in the National Quality Standards 2.1 and 2.2
• Manage stock and place weekly food orders
• Interact and engage with all children, building meaningful relationships.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preparing food for a large number of people/children
• Sound experience and up to date knowledge of food regulations and record keeping
• A current Working With Child Check
• A Food Safety Certificate or Commercial Kitchen Certificate
• Certificate 3 or Diploma in Children Services will be highly regarded

This is part time position Monday to Friday, working 25 hours per week.
