As an experienced Childcare Cook you will be preparing and serving food to children and staff in an Early Education Centre.

We are seeking an experienced cook who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals.

This position is Monday-Friday

The successful applicant will:

• Have experience and passion for cooking and presenting a wide variety of nutritious foods that are suitable for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years
• Be experienced in developing a rotating menu for children, including children with allergies and intolerances.
• Have good time management skills and be confident managing a kitchen
• Enjoy working with families, colleagues and children
• Menu planning, in accordance with the centre's nutrition policy, guidelines and the Health Eating Advisory Service.
• Contributing to weekly ordering as per current menu
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with VIC Food and Council Authority requirements
• Have 2 professional referees (industry specific) and experience cooking in an early childhood setting.

Skills & experience:

• A current Working With Children's Check
• A certificate in Food Handling
• A current certificate in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma (or be willing to obtain)
