MB Chadstone Pty Ltd, trading as Mama’s Buoi, is looking for a Chef who takes pride in providing guests with an authentic Vietnamese experience through every dish that leaves the kitchen. We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Mama’s Buoi, located in Chadstone’s iconic food destination, the Dining Terrace. Responsibilities & Duties

To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Lead in the delivery of exceptional standards and outstanding service
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, confidence in your ability and decision making
  • Experience in a variety of sections with significant experience in South East Asian Cuisine
  • Passion for the industry is a must along with a continuous thirst for knowledge
  • Ability to promote a positive work environment where the team works collaboratively
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Willing and able to work a variety of shifts across a rotating roster
  • Follow budgets set by the Food Director such as food and labour costs
  • Manage relationships with distributors and resolve any issues promptly
  • Able to lead a team and delegate tasks relating to preparation, cooking and delivery of food to guests
  • Keep up with industry trends and assist our Food Director in creation of new recipes

Qualifications and Skills

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher relevant qualification

At least four years’ experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant

Previous experience in supervising other staff an advantage

Excellent communication and organisation skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Dedication to food quality and control

Strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards

Base salary: $53,900 plus superannuation
